Dropped off the painting today at the Duncan McClellan Gallery, looking forward to the auction on Monday night. It's going to be fun.
This preliminary drawing was accepted for the upcoming art show & silent auction. HSN has teamed with some 30 local artists for Monday evening, October 19th. The event begins at 5:30 pm and will be held at the Duncan McClellan Gallery in St. Petersburg, FL. The Theme for this event is, "Wherever you go, go with all your heart." Proceeds for the auctioned pieces will help support the American Heart Association. I'm honored to be involved with such an important cause.

18" x 24" An oil painting I just completed of my first grandson, sitting out on deck overseeing the lake during our stay in Highlands, NC. My little grand man & his mom celebrated they're birthdays on the same day last month. His was just for being 8 months old. Not quite ready for eating cake, sorry little buddy!
As I mentioned earlier this is a new blog site, so I'm re-posting some projects I had completed last year. Here's a watercolor on Strathmore illustration board. It's a portrait of my daughter Kate & her husband Kyle while they &/theirs friends visited across the pond in Ireland. They had a lot of cloudy skies the images, so I took some liberties w/the sky & had a little fun in the process as well. These images show a bit of the progression in the background as I painted.
I originally posted this last year, I just got around to getting another blog site and decided to re-post it. Here are my friends, John Sawvel & his lovely spouse Sarajo, with the framed portrait of Sarajo over the mantle. (Nice frame btw) I did this a little while back, it was a belated wedding gift. They'll be having their 4th wedding anniversary this coming May! Please visit the "Oil Paintings" page to see more my paintings in oil.
I was asked to create an illustration of an early colonial Spanish woman & child including several artifacts. This color illustration would be reproduced as wall tiles for a remodeling project within the Arts District of St. Augustine, FL. Here are images of the installed wall tiles. To see the actual illustration & more images visit the "Museum Illustrations" page in my portfolio.
